In a radio interview from Iraq Bret Michaels promised "a party" during his scheduled concert as the highlight of BIKETOBERFEST, an international gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts in Daytona Beach, Florida. Ask any of the thousands of fans who attended the show and they will agree, he delivered!

Billed as "Bret Michaels, Back From Iraq" the Florida concert was the U.S. stop on a tour that originated in Kuwait and played three additional dates in war zones in Iraq. To a backdrop of video footage of U.S. troops, some in full combat gear, filling venues on Military bases in Iraq to attend the Bret Michaels concerts there; the front man for Poison exploded onto the stage in Daytona Beach.

The Broken Spoke, where Michaels performed October 20, is no stranger to huge crowds and famous artists And the special events BIKE WEEK DAYTONA and BIKETOBERFEST both have hosted their fair share of major acts including: Lynyrd Skynyrd; Styx; George Thorogood and The Destroyers; Charlie Daniels Band; America and Steppenwolf. Promoter John Bird, who worked with Nerve Marketing's Nicole Linn, sponsor for the concert, says, "I have been producing shows during special events for more than 25 years; and the Bret Michaels concert this year was not only one of the biggest, it was the best. It is not unusual to look out from a stage and view a sea of leather during a motorcycle rally. What was unique about this particular concert was the diversity of the audience. Bret Michaels attracted, not only the bikers and the Poison fans, but additionally, a younger and broader based crowd; no doubt a result of the success of his popular television show Rock Of Love."
